Ohio dam facelift to include roller-compacted concrete

Ohio's Tuscarawas River Diversion Dam doesn't meet safety standards and shows signs of age-related deterioration, so the earthen structure is getting a $3.9 million rehab. About 12,500 cubic yards of roller-compacted concrete will be used on the dam's embankment and the spillway will be overhauled. The work will be done by Kenmore Construction and is expected to begin next month.
