Popes team up to restate Catholic Church's marriage position

A new text largely written by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, but which Pope Francis signed and contributed to, identifies marriage as a "stable union of man and woman," and a sign of God’s "acknowledgement and acceptance of the goodness of sexual differentiation." The document is the first religious text to be co-written by a pope and his predecessor.
