Viewers are apprehensive but not entirely opposed to set-top cameras

A recent survey by Strategy Analytics tried to gauge consumer attitudes toward the use of cameras in set-top boxes. The poll found that 30% of viewers would never accept such devices tracking their movements and activity, while another 13% probably would not allow that kind of monitoring. However, 14% had no problem with the idea, while 20% had some concerns but would be willing to consider it for enhanced TV service.
