"Danger Mouse" reboot replaces some male characters with females

The BBC has changed some male characters in its original animated classic "Danger Mouse" to females in the 52-episode series reboot. The show's protagonist and sidekick will still be male, but surrounding characters have been changed to females. The gender changes fit into the BBC's plan to feature more female characters in children's programming, according to BBC kids channel controller Kay Benbow.
