Sprint puts shared data plan to test in 3 cities

Sprint is testing a shared data plan in San Diego, Las Vegas and Portland, Ore., as well as a discounted version of its "Framily" package in three other markets, according to CNET. The carrier also is trying out a lower-price individual plan in several cities. The shared plan, which starts at $20 for 1 gigabyte, offers higher discounts at the larger data points in addition to the $25 fee for unlimited voice and texts and an access charge for each member.
