7-Eleven rolls out urban strategy

7-Eleven's key to expansion is opening stores in urban areas, a strategy the company developed in Asia. The urban stores will focus on offering sandwiches and fresh foods in addition to groceries. The Dallas-based company also is working with suppliers such as Sara Lee and Kraft to develop new types of foods and flavors.
