Canadian firms will have to scramble to meet IFRS deadline

According to a recently released study, many public companies in Canada will have to scramble to make the 2011 deadline for shifting to International Financial Reporting Standards. The study found that 12% of companies surveyed had not started their initial diagnostic assessments, and about 80% had not yet reached the halfway mark in the conversion process.
