Health care reform may delay resumption of 401(k) matches

Consultants are warning that some firms that have suspended 401(k) matching programs may not reinstate them as the economy recovers. In the past, suspension of matching contributions has usually been a temporary measure as firms weather an economic downturn. Now, however, firms are waiting to see how much a proposed government health care reform will cost them before they reinstate 401(k) matches.
