Study: Vegetable proteins can lower blood pressure

A new study found that a higher intake of the amino acids contained in vegetable proteins such as beans, whole grains and soy products was linked to lower blood pressure readings. Researchers credit glutamic acid, an amino acid that accounts for 23% of vegetable protein and 18% of meat protein.
