Summer jobs for teens blossom in Ohio with stimulus funds

Ohio is expected to receive $8.2 billion in federal economic-stimulus funds over three years and some of that money will develop an estimated 14,200 jobs for youths this summer. Schools in Ohio are still facing layoffs and budget woes, however, as balancing the budget takes precedence over education reform in the state's use of stimulus funds.
