Can Sin City hit the clean-energy jackpot?

Las Vegas is aiming to boost its green credentials, ordering up a major energy audit that could help the gaming capital slash its power usage and save money. The city's casinos use the lion's share of its power, officials say, but at least two large ones along the Strip have made concerted efforts to increase their energy efficiency. "Las Vegas is striving to build a more sustainable community by investing in strategies to conserve energy and increase efficiencies," says Mayor Oscar Goodman.
