Family meals, veggies help children balance weight

Children who sit down to regular, cooked meals with family and eat lots of vegetables tend to weigh less than those who do not keep those habits, Greek researchers said. They suggested one reason is that children who have more traditional family meals also may eat a Mediterranean diet that is rich in healthier vegetables, olive oil, whole grains and fish.
