Inactivity may be a symptom, not cause of obesity in youths

It's commonly held that inactivity leads to childhood obesity, but one study suggested it's the other way around. Researchers with the EarlyBird Diabetes Study said they did not find evidence showing increased physical activity affected weight, but they did find that children who gained weight got less exercise.
