Nebraska's livestock sector may not compromise with animal advocates

While Ohio's agriculture sector has agreed to a compromise with advocates on animal-care standards, livestock groups in Nebraska are gearing up to fight any such initiatives. "We feel that we are using facilities and the type of animal care that's acceptable by the American Veterinary [Medical] Association and, yes, we probably will fight it," an official with the state's pork producer association said.
