Nonprofits to offer anti-tobacco, obesity initiatives

Federal officials awarded $10 million to 10 national nonprofit groups for physical activity and nutrition programs that reduce tobacco use and obesity. Some program ideas include offering incentives to grocery stores to open locations in underserved areas; providing healthier options for child care, schools and worksites; and subsidizing memberships at recreational facilities.
