Archaeologists uncover Egyptian sphinx paws in Israel

Archaeologists in Israel discovered the paws of a sphinx that belonged to the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Menkaure, who ruled more than 4,000 years ago and built one of the Giza pyramids. The archaeologists believe that the paws were brought to Israel long after Menkaure's reign between the 17th and 16th centuries B.C. or were given to the important city of Hazor as a gift during the 15th and 13th centuries B.C.
