Baby boomers don't like being called "seniors," survey finds

The term "nursing home" sparks a negative reaction in 94% of adults surveyed by SeniorMarketing.com. Older people tend to prefer "baby boomer" over "senior" and find the terms "senior living" and "retirement community" outdated, the survey found. "Knowing the preferred terms when talking about particular groups of people is important from both a human and marketing perspective," SeniorMarketing.com President Kevin Williams said.
