BP criticizes Gulf spill claims payment process in court hearing

BP criticized the handling of payments for 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill claims, saying the process covered inflated and "fictitious" claims. "Irreparable injustices are taking place and money is being dispensed to parties from whom it may not be recoverable," Ted Olson, a lawyer representing BP, said during a federal appeals court hearing.
