British nonprofit sector has a gender equality deficit

Women such as Dame Barbara Stocking, who until recently was Oxfam’s chief executive, are the exception rather than the rule in the British not-for-profit sector. Men head up 83% of the top resource-getting British nonprofits, with females in leadership positions in U.K. nonprofits earning 16% to 30% less than their male counterparts, data shows.
