CFTC considers delaying deadline for cross-border swaps rules

Facing a Friday deadline, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission remains divided on its authority to implement rules overseas. ISDA and other industry groups have asked senators to intervene and work with the CFTC and the Securities and Exchange Commission to delay the deadline at least six months to better coordinate with foreign regulators.
