CMS releases final provisions on Medicaid, CHIP eligibility

The CMS issued on Friday its final rule on the implementation of certain provisions of the Affordable Care Act concerning eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program and health insurance exchange-based tax incentives. The rule quietly gives states that run their exchanges an additional year before they must begin spot checks to verify enrollees' insurance status at work.
