Furniture maker uses special project to reflect on the business

Twenty-seven years after launching his furniture-making business, a special order gave Paul Downs the chance to return to the workbench and work with his hands. The experience allowed Downs to reflect on the history of his business and why he started it. "Revisiting my passion was fun. I was able to treat the project as if I were a hobbyist, without concern for profit, and simply enjoy the experience," he concludes.
