A well at a Gulf of Mexico platform operated by Energy Resources Technology Gulf of Mexico leaked natural gas, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The well was being plugged when "alt water containing a small amount of gas and light condensate began to flow to the surface and around the wellhead," said Timothy Duncan, president and CEO of Talos Energy, parent company of ERT. Personnel on the platform were safely evacuated. The company expects the well to be plugged within 24 hours.
