Ill. students, teachers head to Uganda to help build classrooms

Students and staff from Illinois' Vernon Hills High School will spend part of their summer break working on a campus, but not their own. They are volunteering to help build sixth- and seventh-grade classrooms in a Ugandan village through a program called Children's Outreach and Vocational Education Alliance. Students making the trip are participants in a character education program.
