Landlords can't filter renters by Section 8 status, Ore. says

Oregon legislators have passed a law prohibiting landlords from discriminating against renters who use Section 8 vouchers. The move came after an investigation by The Oregonian newspaper noted that Section 8 renters had limited choices for housing, mostly in low-income areas. The law does not change landlords' ability to disqualify renters based on financial or other factors, but blanket "No Section 8" policies will no longer be allowed.
