Mo. law prohibits welfare-benefits use at liquor stores

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon signed a new law Monday that prohibits the use of welfare benefits at liquor stores, casinos and strip clubs, and increases the penalty for improper use of electronic benefits cards. Supporters advocate that the law will deter improper use of benefits, while critics say it restricts where benefits users can purchase food.
