Multimodal center allows Mont. to handle freight rail shipments

A $17 million Port of Northern Montana Multimodal Hub Center project in Shelby, Mont., will enable the state to handle freight rail shipments through the relocation of a BNSF facility and an inland port. "By 2050, America's transportation network will need to move four billion more tons of freight annually," said Federal Railroad Administrator Joseph Szabo. "Projects like this are an important step toward keeping America moving now and in the future."
