N.Y. seeks master teachers corps to act as mentors

New York is looking for 250 math and science teachers as part of the state's Master Teacher Program. Applications are due Aug. 1 for educators who will mentor newer teachers and receive an annual stipend of $15,000 for four years. Officials say the program will offer an added incentive for top teachers to share what they know with others.
