Online campaign brings "Alan Partridge" film to Norwich

Steve Coogan's new movie, "Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa," will get a red-carpet premiere in the English town of Norwich rather than in London. The decision follows a campaign on Facebook and Twitter calling for the film to open in the town where Alan Partridge, a fictional DJ and TV host, lives and works in the film. "Any suggestion I've hastily cobbled together the lunchtime Norwich screening in response to a local Twitter campaign will be met with the full force of the law," Partridge warned in an in-character Twitter post.
