Regulators reportedly plan different bank capital requirements

A joint plan from the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, set to be released this week, will reportedly set different capital requirements for major banks' parent companies and their government-backed lending divisions. The two levels will reportedly be 5% and 6%, while the global standard is 3%.
