Silent ischemia in diabetes mellitus

In this large prospective study, asymptomatic diabetes mellitus, (1) participants had more ischemia by exercise myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) than electrocardiogram (ECG), (2) participants had more ischemia by MPI but not ECG than a control group, and (3) ischemia by MPI was less common in women than in men.
