Solar Impulse completes flights across America

Solar Impulse, a solar-powered airplane, has completed a historic coast-to-coast trip. Powered by 12,000 solar cells and batteries for night flying, the vehicle tops out at 45 miles per hour and took 105 hours of airborne time to complete its journey. "It really shows our clean-technology solar energy and our new systems have been reliable," said pilot Bertrand Piccard.
