Study: 49% of facial cosmetic procedure patients take supplements

Nearly half of 200 patients undergoing facial cosmetic procedures used dietary supplements, according to a study in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Women were more likely than men to take supplements, researchers found. Supplement use might affect outcomes, and doctors should caution against using supplements before cosmetic surgery, the study authors advised.
