U.S. job openings increase in May

Adding to signs of a quicker pace in U.S. hiring, the Labor Department reported 3.83 million job openings in May, up from 3.8 million the month before. The latest figures are expected to confirm Federal Reserve intentions to soon begin tapering its bond-buying program.
