U.S. sees increase in manufacturing technology orders

Recent figures from the Association For Manufacturing Technology indicate that U.S. manufacturing technology orders have increased by 13.6% from April to May. However, these figures are 7.6% lower than the same period last year. "A rise in U.S. manufacturing technology orders is welcome as we move into the summer months, which are typically soft. New technologies are creating change in automotive production, while many aerospace manufacturers are making shifts within their supply chains," said AMT Vice President of Industry Intelligence Patrick McGibbon.
