Wash. blueberry growers expect bountiful harvest

Blueberry growers in Washington state began harvesting in June and the process revs into high gear this month with optimistic expectations of a bumper crop. Continuing maturation of the state's blueberry bushes is leading to the peak volumes, said Suzanne Wolter, marketing director for Rainier Fruit Co., who estimates her company's production will be up 25% from last year.
