Workers wary of quitting their jobs, data suggest

About 2.2 million U.S. workers quit their jobs in May, while before the recession roughly 3 million people quit their jobs per month, Labor Department data show. The percentage of employed people quitting their jobs has stayed about the same for three consecutive months. Low quit rates are considered a sign that workers lack confidence in the economy.
