FDA clears Intel's in-home health monitoring tools

The FDA has given Intel Corp. approval to market Health Guide, a personal in-home health monitoring system designed for people with chronic diseases. The product features a special-function touch-screen computer and can be connected to medical devices, such as blood-pressure monitors and glucose meters, to collect and send data to medical professionals via the Internet.
