Canadian homeowner's perennial garden causes controversy

Canadian homeowner Judith O'Grady planted a perennial garden in her front yard, but the city of Ottawa threatened to mow the garden for not adhering to the same standards as other neighborhood lawns. O'Grady contacted her councilor over the fate of her garden, which was certified by the Canadian Wildlife Federation as a backyard habitat. After pruning back some vegetation, O'Grady was allowed to keep her garden.
