Mediabrands hires Home Depot exec to create shopper marketing unit

John Ross, vice president of advertising, marketing and consumer incentives for The Home Depot, has been tapped to fill the new role of president of the Emerging Media Lab for Interpublic Group's Mediabrands. Among his top duties will be to develop a new practice focusing on shopper marketing as the first part of the firm's "Retail 3.0 solution."
