Satisfaction surveys may be added to nursing home ratings

Federal regulators are working with nursing home operators to discuss adding resident and family satisfaction surveys to its nursing home ratings. The participants also are looking at a new way of reporting ratings, staff levels and quality measures for facilities that have a large number of short-stay residents.
