Experts tie blood pressure drop to mortality in diabetes patients

A decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure rates may be associated with death in adults with diabetes, a study in Diabetes Care suggests. Patients with diabetes who died during the study had an annual decline of 1.3 mm Hg in diastolic pressure compared with only 0.6 mm Hg in those who didn't die, experts said.
