Jet injection may improve glucose absorption time, study suggest

Administering insulin through jet injection helped reduce the time to reach maximal glucose infusion rate and peak insulin concentration, a study in Diabetes Care found. The study authors said that findings suggest using jet injection may help improve insulin absorption and cut the time to attain glucose-lowering effects by up to 50%, but that further research was needed because only healthy people were included in this study.
