Menu for food-based TV keeps expanding

Food shows on television, once limited to PBS cooking lessons, now takes the form of competitions, culinary travel and now "Rocco's Dinner Party," a combination talk show and cooking competition hosted by Rocco DiSpirito. "Food TV has just made fine dining so much more accessible for the everyday person," said Betty Fraser, a "Top Chef" contestant and co-owner of L.A.-based Grub.
