South Florida eateries double their food donations

Restaurants in South Florida are donating twice as many leftover meals as they did a year ago to soup kitchens and other charities that aim to feed the hungry. Donations from chains including Chipotle, Starbucks and Cheesecake Factory are up in part because of a new law that protects them from lawsuits linked to prepared foods.
