Demand, inventory squeeze may boost SSD prices

The cost of solid-state drives could increase in the next few months because of increasing demand, especially in the data-center segment, and a diminishing inventory of NAND flash memory, industry sources say. Cloud computing is also cited as a reason for rising SSD demand, sources said.
