The Bureau of Land Management has proposed a new utility corridor stretching 15 miles in Wyoming. The suggested corridor serves as an alternative to the proposed route for TransWest Express' transmission line project, which would send electricity from Wyoming wind farms to customers in Arizona, California and Nevada. The BLM's plan adheres mostly to TransWest's proposal but differs in some places, partly to stay out of environmentally and culturally sensitive areas. Public input on the BLM's proposal will be accepted until Sept. 30.
