Internal review reveals mistakes in JPMorgan debt collections

An internal review by JPMorgan Chase found errors in 9% of 1,000 lawsuits it had filed to collect delinquent debt, say people familiar with the review, which was not made public. The errors included inaccurate fees and interest added by outside law firms, and some lawsuits were filed for amounts higher than what borrowers actually owed.
