La. to gain 2,000 construction jobs from chemical facility project

Russian fertilizer manufacturer EuroChem has unveiled plans build its first U.S. facility, which will be located in Louisiana. The $1.5 billion project will consist of an ammonia and urea production plant and a distribution center, and is expected to break ground in 2015. Roughly 2,000 construction jobs will be generated during the plant's four-year buildout.
