Mass. middle school drops honors math for more rigorous program for seventh grade

Swampscott Middle School in Massachusetts will no longer offer honors math for seventh-graders and instead will raise the rigor of math instruction for all students in the grade through a Connected Mathematics Program. The curriculum favors technology more than traditional math programs and allows students in the same classroom to work at different paces.
